“Art is a step in the known toward the unknown”

You may be wondering why there are figures floating in the sky in my work.  Good question! The flying people refer to that moment when I remember that I am still forgiven, even though I continue to sin. Every day I am still forgiven. I just cannot get over the truth of my salvation in Christ being for my past--let alone my future sins. My heart skips a beat and I am lightened. I am surprisingly filled yet again with joy.

These are pastel drawings, some on a watercolor base. They are about 18" x 30", with some larger and some smaller.

I have been inspired by artists Marc Chagall, Jeremy Geddes and Alberto Giacometti.

I taught high school art for almost forty years, I was proud to be a National Board Certified Teacher and taught Advanced Placement Art, Drawing, Painting and Art History. Presently I am a happy wife, mother and grandma.

My studio is in the High Road Gallery.
